Thinking of Frankensteining one together out of a 1st Gen Tama Speed Cobra. Ive got a Camco as well that I retrofitted with FlexiGlide parts but the hex rod is pitted & only accomodates the main beater in a certain position. Since independent beater/footboard adjustment is something I must have, the newer pedal is the one I'm thinking of refuckulating. Wondering if the solid plate underneath the footboard would be an upgrade over the Caroline's rods.

The idea of the plate goes against all ethics and international conventions (save North Korea). Caroline hacking is strictly controlled and trespassers prosecuted.

the "floating heel" technology implies high precision strap cutting and A.I double riveting, and unless you have been attending special trainings to achieve these operations, I would advise you to give up before it is too late..

Cheers! Why not an upgrade vs the stock hinge heel of a Tama? Really interested to find peoples opinions “fer or again’ it”

I figure, since I love the strap drive, what would a strap heel do for my style of “controlled slop”?
